What is Speech-Language
Pathology?
There are many aspects included
in speech-language pathology. It specializes in various components such as
phonation, intonation, communication disorder and swallowing disorder. Phonation
includes the production of sound. Intonation is the variation of pitch.
Language includes phonology, morphology, grammar, syntax, semantics and
pragmatics. Phonology is the systematic organization of speech sounds in the
production of language. Morphology includes the minimal units of meaning. Semantics is the study of language.
