SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW TIPS




There are few steps to follow to provide a successful interview:

1.      Find information on the employer, hiring manager, job opportunity

If you want to obtain a good interview, you need to conduct research to understand the background of the company, the employer and all the job opportunities that they offer. This information will assist you on how to answer questions at the interview.

 
2.      Review common interview question and prepare responses

You should definitely review past interview questions and that could be found on the internet through a simple Goggle search. Prepare yourself to be reactive and respond to all the questions with confidence.

 (Remember that you don’t have to memorize the answers but it will help stimulate you to create your own)

 
3.      Dress for Success

Based on your research you should get a sense of the culture of the company and how the employees typically dress. If you are unsure of the dress code, the best thing to do is to dress business professional. Also, it is important to not wear excessive jewelry and to stay away from using a strong smelling perfume. 

 
4.      Ask insightful questions and then close the deal

Put yourself in a good spot by asking two or three questions that are related to the job opportunity, this will help the hiring manager understand that you are really interested in the position.

  
5.      Thank the interviewer in person and by email

As you know common courtesy is a good factor and thanking the interviewer, at the end of the interview, is a good start. Finalize it with writing an email within 24 to 48 hours of the interview. This would show that you are persistent and shows that you are willing to give yourself for the job.
