● Networking: Who you know, What you know, Who knows you by Chamara Brown

Networking: Who you know, What you know, Who knows you.

Networking is basically communicating with  professional contacts to obtain  information, referrals or advice. (Knowing someone that knows someone substantial)

Networking can happen at any time or place but please be professional and do not feel entitled to one's time.

Networking is Give-and- Take so you want to make real connections that can benefit both parties involved, not just yourself.

Some types of networking:

        Online ( social media)
Community (community boards, groups, place of worship)
Personal ( social or non-business activities with friends, family etc.
Professional (co-workers, internship, volunteer work) etc…)
Tips:    Use your personal pitch ( strengths, skills)  and be engaged.
Be approachable
Be yourself!
Maintaining Professional Network is most important.
  1. Keep contacts of those you networking with (do not ask for favors every time you interact)
  2. Show appreciation and acknowledge those you network with.
  3. Attend network events, be punctual.

I handle both misdemeanors and felonies. ·                      Can you tell me about a typical day on the job? There is no such thing as an average day for an attorney, you might spend whole day...
