Dos and Dont's for the interview


Interviews can be stressful situations. There are lots of “Dos and Don’ts” for the interview. Ensure you give yourself the best chance for success by following some of these tips.



Dos:
  •      Dress Professionally
  •      Make sure arrive at least 10 minutes early
  •     Research about the company (google, go to the website of the company or ask someone who works or have worked in that company)
  •      Be prepared to answer the questions and answer professionally and nicely 
  •     Maintain good eye contact
  •   Present yourself with your skills and experience 
  •      Bring a pen and copies of your resume
  •   You should turn off your phone
  •   Ask knowledgeable question about the company
  • When the interview ends, stand up, greet your interviewer and thank them
  •   Ask for the business card
  •   Write a thank you note and send it within 24 hours of the interview.


Don’ts:
  • Do not wear hat, fancy clothes
  •   If you are a woman, too much makeup is not recommended 
  •   Do not skip the question
  •  Do not lie, be the best of you 
  • Do not complain about your previous job
  • Do not bring anyone else with you to the interview
  •  Do not present yourself with your personal life
  •  Do not act as though you’re just shopping around or interviewing for practice
  • Do not text or call right after the interview, if you got a job
